The School of Writing (TSW) – An Overview
The School of Writing (TSW), has been established in Karachi as a unique institution in collaboration with Andover Bread Loaf Writing Workshop, Massachusetts, USA. TSW aims to offer one of the most comprehensive range of products and services to address both general and specific writing needs of students, professionals and organizations.
We draw inspiration from a variety of resources to empower the teaching of writing, which include technology, film, arts, community agencies, culture and creativity. Our focus is to develop basic and key 21st century skills such as reading, writing and new media, besides being the most sought-after ‘Writing Center’ for individuals, organizations and professionals.
For organizations, we aspire to be counted upon as the ONE-Stop solution provider for their internal and external corporate communication needs, especially projects reporting.
TSW offers Premium Writing-Related Services, TABS, to corporate, commercial, social and development sectors. Businesses and organizations alike require extensive and effective communication that helps ensure their success and growth. Travelogues Karachi is a 75-hour, after-school writing and photography program that introduces participating youth from socially disadvantaged backgrounds to creative expressionand provides opportunities for increased and effective use of new media. During in-class sessions and exposure trips around the mega city of Karachi, participants use creative methods of documenting their experiences and memories of a space through the use of photography and writing to produce a travelogue.
