On 10th January 2015 we went on a trip to State Bank museum. On the way I was thinking about the museum as to how would be the museum. Because I heard that the building of the museum is very old.

It was built in 1920, so I was very excited to see the museum. We reached the museum at 2:00 p.m. When I stepped out of my bus I saw the building of the museum and it was not looking old at all. There was a garden in front of the building and with the garden the building was looking beautifull. Then I slowly walked towards the door of the museum. I stepped in the museum I was stunned and my first expression was "WOW" the museum was awesome. Because the Inner walls and windows were made up with glass and wood and was looking beautiful. We met with Mr. Aslam, who was there to guide us and tell us about the historical things which were in the museum. First of all he told us about the building of the museum that the building of the museum was constructed for Imperial Bank of India in 1920s by the British government. Than we walked to the governors gallery. In the governors gallery there were the pictures of all the governors of State Bank of Pakistan with their names, signatures, and tenures. Than we walk to the coins gallery, pre Islamic gallery there was the display of earlier forms of the money which was used before the evolution of coinage such as courie shells, indus seals, Ratti seals. There was also the punch mark coins and choronological display covering different dynasties starting from Indo Greeks to the Hindu Shahis. The coins issued before the advent of Islam in subcontinent. Then we walked to the coins gallery 2. The Islamic coins gallery.
There was the display of the coins issued after the advent of Islam in the sub subcontinent. I was feeling very excited and lucky that I was had the chance to see the old coins. Than we walk the currency gallery. There I saw the all currency issued after the construction of Pakistan. Than we walk to the Sadequin gallery which is on the mazzanine. In Sadequin gallery we saw three huge murals and five metal collages maid by Sadequin for the State bank of Pakistan. I was very happy and I will never forget this trip.
